It's weird but I rarely see them on eBay when they are really single use item. Most e53 can live their entire life on two sets.

I have a nice tool $150 originally. Unused as my bushes never changed since the car was totaled first.

I would agree, it seems like the tool you'd buy once and then resell because you'll likely never need it again. Anyways, I may reach out to you later this year if/when I get some time to do my bushings. I think that is the cause of the thud I get when starting out from a stop.

They say that's the prime suspect though I think the dif mounts just as or more like likely. I would maybe tape an iphone taking video of each to see what moves.
