Speaker problem but no amp - eek!
I have a 2004 4.4 European X5. The only speaker that works is the right hand passenger door speaker. I followed a few threads and looked for the amp in the back of the car. I have a CD changer but apparently no amp (see attached pic). I was hoping to find a pinch point or dodgy connection at the (non existent) amp that caused all of the speakers to fail. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why all the speakers except one are dead and where the culprit might be? Many thanks, Paul |

Your BM54 (amplifier) is dead. It's under your spare wheel near the battery.

Many thanks SirHiss - I just removed the spare wheel and the fascia around the battery to reveal the unit.
I really appreciate the advice. |
