Makes sense, although my passenger side park lights should be fine. The front driver side park light is acting up though. I have to double check it tomorrow to make sure I don't recall it the wrong way round.

Just checked it, it indeed is the driver side park light in front which is a little bit weaker than the passenger side so it shouldn’t be having any effect here. But could it be a symptom of a faulty LCM?

Upon further research, the code ”status wire 3 of PowerMOS always active” definitely seems to point to a burned out transistor in LCM. Don’t think there is anyone in my area repairing these so I have to start looking into a new used one. Is it so that I should be looking for a module which came from a X5 which also got factory xenons + other similar light related options? Or just look for matching part number and it should be enough?

Just look for LCM 4 with Auto-LWR. The module needs your VIN written and mileage reset (it will copy your correct mileage from instrument cluster) with BMW scanner (P.A. Soft) and then coded with NCS.

Thanks a lot!

And just to clarify, the part number shouldn’t matter as long as it’s LCM 4 with auto-LWR? Since when looking from realoem, the part number for my car’s LCM doesn’t match the one you linked nor the one other I was looking for. But I guess the part numbers are just all over the place with these and as long as the mentioned requirements are fulfilled it shouldn’t matter?

Or do you have adaptive xenons?

Looking at the realoem link about substitutability you provided, I think it's all clear for me now, thanks! No adaptive xenons.
