I took it to get recharged today and and they weren't able to pull a vacuum. Took it home and took a look and realized a pinched an oring on one of the compressor hoses, so going to go through those again.

My oil wasn't bad per say, but the oil settled in the condenser and then upon refill/restart it went through the system as a giant clump of oil.
Which slipped me the high hard one on my new compressor. I'm not saying it will happen to you but a condenser is cheap compared to rebuilding again... Sent from my SM-A528B using Tapatalk

To add to this I just turned my A/C on for the first time this season and no-worky ;( The problem turned out to be an oxidized connection at the compressor so a bit of a wiggle and the clutch cut in. I had replaced the compressor 2 seasons ago and I maybe should have bit some contact grease in the connector (which I normally would do) but didn't that time. Has some on now though!

Hi,
Just curious for those with M54 engines, what brand of AC Compressor did you use? Feedback? PS: FCPEuro lists: - Mahle (China) $550 - Bosch (China) $475 - Nissens (China) $352 Is Calsonic still available? How about Denso, where is it made?

I think I went with the Nissens which usually is a good product. There is another thread about this and I think the Nissens is a bit noisier than the OE at times but has been working perfectly.

I've been running an eBay compressor for 8k miles (2 years). It cools to 40F at the center dash. No issues running around in 100+F around Austin. I spent $120.10. I would use the same seller again. https://ebay.io/m/ag4q7y
Nissens, Delphi, and Bosch have been good on other vehicles. I replace an '18 Sentra compressor this morning. A Nissens compressor was used. It cooled to 40F in 93+F degree weather today. Clutch failure is a common problem on most vehicles I've fixed for A/C problems.
