Check the wire loom plug where it goes into the transmission. Water ingress there has happened to several people on here.
What scanner do you have? It is the best tool you can have.
A bidirectional scanner like a foxwell nt-510, nt-520, ista-d, etc is what you want because many scanners can't gi into 2nd level menus and can't reset the codes.
