The other thing is the little plastic bar inside the clip gets broken and sends an error. Some of the guys here have replaced that piece with a little sliver of a credit card, but I have not had this problem myself.
PS. Airbags can throw a code if it was unplugged while the battery was connected so be careful about that.

Not sure what clip you're referring to, are you talking about a clip on the seat sensor mat itself, or the little SBE control unit under the passenger seat?
