A quick follow-up: I pt everything back to gether and all is working, so it must be for something that my car is not equiped with light the flashlight previously mentioned.

Nice, it's a key switched power line. I removed the flashlight from mine. I bought a 12V adapter to fit the plug. It now powers my XM radio module.
