Probably a faulty motor in the lock actuator.

Wpoll long time no hear, all ok? Ok thanks, and darn, sifting through all these posts seems job is a mission, so door card off, the door lock cylinder out or the actual lock needs to be removed? so either way car non driver unless tape up door to stop it opening ? this will be biggest issue.

I think gonna try live with it as is, find a used actuator (hope its ok) , gonna also look at these posts see how painless it is to remove and open and then close the actual actuator and source replacement motors that i can gut and use in the existing shot one unit......jeez it is giving me pain this car....just reaaaal odd how soon after i did the dhc that this showed up got 111,000 miles on it, BUT believe it or not for a good 4 years car was always unlocked and drive mostly weekends so the usage of those little motors was limited i guess....ok thanks again to all for feedback

Hi omodos, sorry I didn't answer this earlier. All good here. Mostly... I have a driver's door look that is a little like your lock - very occasionally is slow to unlock or doesn't unlock at all. I see another job in my future...

Had the typical starter motor issue a few weeks back - more fun.

Hahaha Wpoll, i am gonna have to bite bullet and go to stealer, as there is no way I can do the surgery on existing and have car on the road in one day especially as I may source wrong bits and or not manage to open close the actuator....feel like a total knooob having to dish out over 200euros for 2 small motors
