One door not locking unlocking with remote

Hello to all, Well been a good 8 months ago I fixed with the zip tie st.steel my door carrier, was fine....last posts are mine here
https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...oem-not-7.html

Last couple of months noticed the drivers door which was the side i fixed carrier on , would stay locked or unlocked and need the key to unlock or lock it...all the other doors were fine....can't really figure it out as if my carrier fix had somehow caused this, i would have had issue straight away? don't really want to rip off the door card to see....is there any lubing i can do as is with all in place that can help? just in case this is an issue with the bit that bobs up and down somehow being hindered and not enough kick from central locking to kick it up versus the manual turn of the key in the lock?

Probably a faulty motor in the lock actuator.

100% chance.

AWR-fix: Door Lock Actuator Repair
https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/top...ink_source=app

It's not simple i rate it 7/10 difficulty but if you're handy you could do it. Similar difficulty to dhc repair.

Wpoll long time no hear, all ok? Ok thanks, and darn, sifting through all these posts seems job is a mission, so door card off, the door lock cylinder out or the actual lock needs to be removed? so either way car non driver unless tape up door to stop it opening ? this will be biggest issue.

I think gonna try live with it as is, find a used actuator (hope its ok) , gonna also look at these posts see how painless it is to remove and open and then close the actual actuator and source replacement motors that i can gut and use in the existing shot one unit......jeez it is giving me pain this car....just reaaaal odd how soon after i did the dhc that this showed up got 111,000 miles on it, BUT believe it or not for a good 4 years car was always unlocked and drive mostly weekends so the usage of those little motors was limited i guess....ok thanks again to all for feedback

Hello, thanks also for this, the Dhc was 'ok' for me apart from the unexpected cable was too short and i didn't clip it in well enough plus the inner upper part (plastic) of the door card had come loose from the rest of the door card due to heat ...so delays in having to expoy glue it all and wait a bit......

Just wondering who has the least painless posts way to get actuator and or open it (and be able to close it as well)

You can find a good video online got how to swap. It's pretty risky to get a used one but maybe eBay if they state the miles and it's pretty low.

Yup seems like the door handle needs come off again and lock cylinder, i will see if i can source the whole unit but not from stealer.....so i can do a straight swap with a new part , old is risky

You do not need to remove handle or lock to R&R the door latch.

You need to make sure that you are looking at RH drive P/N if that is what you have. I would take the door card off and recheck your work and connections, if that is all good then try tapping on the actuator while trying to work it.
