Nice. 3 ton jacks work great. I have an aluminum Arcan. Even at 58 lbs it's heavy.
Wow, I think I'll replace my center bearing again at 50k miles. Removing the center holding bolt is probably the hardest thing.

Yeah in this case I didn't have to disconnect the csb. Just pulled the whole shaft...then dropped the exhaust. Then remove the shalft. CSB dropped off on it's own except for the two anchor bolts. Had a whole used and balanced shaft sitting on garage floor for maybe about 5 years...waiting for this "rainy day". It was about 12years ago I had my first experience in paying for the job to be done by a shop $1500 bucks...never again!
So several years ago I think a guy was parting out one from his X sold it to me for $50 bucks. Since then I've had the luck of doing the job once before. Not bad,,, but let's just say the experience is one that you'll never forget! Now your not supposed to reuse the bolts...but hey, drastic times call for drastic measures! ![]() ![]() Last edited by getty150; Yesterday at 01:14 AM. |
