Tried that today. No reaction at all.
Thinking of sending the original key to that bmwgm5 guy to get the battery replaced and such. The new one I bought in mid-2023 (from a BMW dealer, so they were available then) worked fine as a remote, until it didn't. If that works, then I'll send in the newer one.
Maybe its battery went tits-up? It could have been old stock so who knows when it was made.
The doors will lock/unlock with the key in the lock, and with the console button. So it's either the fob, or whatever receives the signal from it.
