You can use a hot wire, a fine soldering iron or a 1mm drill bit to make the two small openings.

The bulb needed goes by a few part numbers, depending on the vendor: -

Osram - 64113
Flosser - 4010
Narva - 17833
Philip - 12024



Being a halogen lamp, you should either avoid touching the glass envelope at all (use a tissue to install them) or wipe them down with iso-propyl alcohol after installing them.
Done thanks for help, sheathing on cables are crisp though crumbed on contact alas so electrical tape high temp type used , not sure how long will hold up
