X5chemist will become famous soon enough
Done it too, at a parts store. Used the FOB to open the hatch. All four doors were locked. I put the keys inside to load parts. Close the hatch, "#@$k". Luckily, I had my phone. Called the wifey to bring me a spare key. I know she carries her X5 key all the time. She left work to come and unlock it. Now, I keep keys on a D ring and hooked on my pants.

That open hatch ≠ unlock gets me regularly. My key hangs from my neck so it's only annoying that the doors are still locked so i dry-fire but I have taken off the ends of a fingernail pulling firm on a locked door!
