here's what I see
poor photo of MAF area from RealOEMIs it really a "plastic/rubber piece"? It's been awhile since I looked, but I do have the HARD plastic ring 13717503137 (#3 in the RealOEM pic), and the HARD plastic ring 13541438760 (#7), but I'm not sure about the 13711440173 "Gasket Ring" (#6). If it's missing, that might be a part of my lean fuel trims, though many smoke tests, and carb cleaner tests (actually aimed at that same spot), have failed to show a vacuum leak. I've used plastic film and/or wide silicon tape to wrap all points of connection, with no different results. Just make sure your clamps are tight, and the hoses (and MAF housing) are aligned and fully inserted.
