Right apologies to bring this up again re the bmw approval on oils, this company produces below spec oil that is BMW LL 01 approved https://www.avista-lubes.de/en/produ...ger-sae-5w-40/
The same company as mentioned earlier supplies 5w-40 synthetic oil to a large supermarket chain that sells the oil under its own label however the oil is MINUS the BMW LL 01 approved. Is this to do with the supermarket having to pay royalties or any fee to have the BMW-LL01 on its product label or not? I have approached supermarket with simple question and doubt will get answer , question being the oil you sell under your own name is it the same as the one the oil company makes...? Viscosity: SAE 5W-40 Approvals: API SN; BMW LL 01; MB-Freigabe 229.5 Specification: ACEA A3/B4 Recommendation: API CF; Fiat 9.55535- M2; GM-LL-B-025; Porsche A40; PSA B71 2296 (2014); VW 502 00 / 505 00; MB 226.5; MB 229.3; Renault RN 0700 / 0710
