E83 heated steering wheel on E53?

Has anyone done this swap? Available information seems to indicate that its possible for an E53 that's prewired for heated steering wheel. What I'm unsure about is the airbag compatibility between vehicles/clock springs.

I haven't done it...

but I checked one E53 steering wheel part number on RealOEM: 32306778411,
And it shows as being used in BOTH an E53 and E83..

please let us know how it works out.

A friend of mine has done it and it works.

Get a new OEM slipring as it will be the version with full wiring (all options).

I did this years ago on the '04 4.8is. I transferred the heated wheel to the OTHER '04 E53, a 4.4. Works well. Wife likes it.
