Was running fine, then it wasn't

Drove Frau Blücher to CVS, parked, got my Rx, started up, all seemed well until she started stumbling then missing badly, then died. Luckily I was able to pull over on this little residential street. Tried to restart. It fired, but with a bad miss and would die quickly. Multiple times.

Hooked up the Ancel and there were no codes aside from the ever-present MAP Thermostat one). Well, shit. Called a buddy for a ride and locked it. Oddly the key fob remote which had been working fine didn't do anything. Ugh.

I have roadside assistance coverage so I'll get a tow in the morning to the shop around the corner from where I live before the Big-Ass Giant Snowstorm hits here... fortunately I have Pupsen the F30 as a backup.

Sounds like an electrical issue. Check your battery power level.

Battery was around 11.2V. Put a new one in. Now it won’t even try to start, just cranks.

Roadside assist coverage is worth every cent.

There should be a code. I wonder if this point you have cylinder wash?...gas washing the oil seal off cylinders? Have you had a bunch of cold wearher? Does it sound like low compression?

It's been pretty chilly, 20s and 30s, but I'd been driving it no problem until last night. The only code was the usual thermostat one that's been there forever. It's not overheating or leaking so I've let it go.

Anyway it's at the shop now and I'm leaving town Monday for the week.

Can you scan for key IDs? Were keys synchronized for use?

The new-ish (2023) key remote was working up until last night. I re-paired it a couple of months ago and got it working again, but now it does not. I thought that was an odd coincidence. Or was it?

The original key has a dead battery that I'm probably never going to have replaced.

I don't know how to scan key IDs.

You need a scanner that can read keys. My Foxwell can ID keys.
