I had the same problem. Peeled the leather back enough to get to the plastic and underside of the leather. Applied some contact cement. After that had a few minutes to set up I rolled the leather back under. The contact cement sticks immediately. Here's a video on replacing the leather completely for the armrest. I'm probably going to try it as one of my armrests is cracked.
