New to X5 World

Great site guys!

Looking for some basic advice.....

I have a 2003 X5 4.4 and want to switch the tail lights to clears. Can I simply purchase a 2004+ set on eBay and install?

Looking at eBay today, there seems to be a bunch of 2006 lights available.

Any help would be appreciated.

The tail lights on a 2004 and newer (facelifted) X5 are slightly different from the 2003 and older. If iI recall, there is a BMW TSB on how to do the conversion, but I can't put my hands on it.

If you get your hands on a set of pre-2004 lights then it should be just a direct swap of the units.
