Recommend you skip the IPod direct interface from BMW (shown above) and go with the Dension. The IceLink Plus from Dension has far more integration than the BMW interface. Lots of posts on this.

Thanks for the suggestions about Icelink, and while I definetley considered it, I went the AUX way. My question is thought, for any of you out there with AUX, is it possible to make the iPod turn on and play with the car, the same way it pauses when the car shuts off.
