So after 2 weeks at the body shop and then at service, I got my X back yesterday. paint? looks great. headlights? back in and functioning. Hood? fine. Front bumper? fixed. lighters? fixed

drivers Mirror? still not responding to the memory switches
Sunroof? Still broken
headlight washers? not working
wipers? still jumping on the windshield
window molding on the drivers door? incorrectly reinstalled when they took the door apart to replace the lock and paint the door. (it's not flush and sticks up higher than the rear drivers side door and looks like crap)
drivers door lock? repaired, but not capped. After requesting and being told that it could be done, i was told on friday that it's either remove the door lock and cap the hole, or reinstall the lock and no cap. 1 guy tells me one thing, another guy tells me something different.

I guess when I dropped the car off to be repaired after being vandalized I should have gone over EVERY function in the car and then noted it and told the dealer, because GOD FORBID the "experts" at the dealer actually take 15 minutes to give the car the once over and make sure that everything is in working condition.

The kicker? I have to bring the car back so that the stuff that's still not working can be fixed... earliest available appointment? 2 weeks from now.

Because they have to fix what they screwed up, I have to take it back to them, but after the next appointment, I'm done with them. It took a lot to keep from losing it on the service guy, the dealership is in an affluent area and the customers have a rep for being whiney prima donnas, so I didn't want to be viewed as another snob crying and throwing a temper tantrum about his bmw being broken, so I let the guy know that I was friggin pissed and walked out. argggghhhhhhhhh

They had my X for 2 weeks! friggin frustrating....

I'm wondering? What is the value of X5 lights on the resale market? Is it body shops buying them? Is it just the Xenon's? Are other vehicles headlights stolen as frequently?

Wow -- I'm speechless. Scumbags.

I've been waiting for an excuse to get the computer reprogrammed to only the remote disabling the alarm and this just might be it.
