Extended Warrenty Problem!

Took my X to the dealer today for some work. I have the extended warrenty that last until 100k which I payed 3000k for. I had work the inspection done about a month ago which they found a bunch of things wrong but where covered under the warrenty. Today, I just got a phone call and the dealer told me that the Warrenty company told them to hold the work order until they come out to the the problems. He told me that the extended warrenty company just wants to see why so much money is being payed out. Isn't that why I bought the warrenty? I have about 80k miles. Has anyone heard of this before? Can they do this?
