Need help in buying 4.8is

First off want to say hello to this forum and I do understand the value of searching. Have checked out a couple of other forums already and just found this one which seems to have more activity and dealer is pushing to make a decision today to get into May allotment. I have a 2004 Maserati Spyder and a 4Runner and want to simply things by going with one year round car, So it needs to be sporty and good for winter here in the Boston area. Most logical choice seems to be a 4.8is, Did have a 2002 M3 SMG so have had some experience with BMW. After being pretty uncomfortable in my Spyder I want to make sure that the 4.8is is at least a decent ride, I understand it will not be the most comfortable with those 20" tires. I don't plan on going off road or thru unplowed areas, Just want to make it thru our winters here and have already checked out getting some 18" rims and blizzak snow tires for winter. But have always driven traditional locking 4 wheel drive and was wondering how this Xdrive works in snow? Thanks in advance Scott
