Ok so anyway, today i got a check brake lining light. What does that mean? and should i be driving my X right now? And would this be a great time to get the Axxis brake pads and rotors? Any help would be awesome! Mitch

Bingo! I think it's safe to drive but as the warning tells you, check the pads for wear. The brake lining sensor is supposed to wear out first to warn you that you have reached the point you should change pads. Bingo again! If you want to change to the Axxis pads this would be the time but you might not need rotors yet. It depends on the thickness of your rotors and whether there is any warping. I don't think that every new set of pads requires you change the rotors.
Others, please chime in.

ive changed my pads twice and still have not had to go for rotors ...so you should just need pads dont drive around to much because you will end up warping the rotors.

Yeah the light came on around the same time as Inspection I for our X5.
Dealer just replaced the disks. I'm not sure about the rotors though... Although the night before this error message came on, i must admit I had got some air in the X, and the slammed on the brakes on the way down... But that couldn't have done it right?
