Hiss noise from front of X5

Hoping that someone out there can help me, please. I've noticed a hiss noise from the front of the vehicle, not sure if it's from one side or the other, but I hear a single "hiss" in 3 or 4 second intervals after I've turned the car off. At first I thought maybe a tire loosing pressure, but wonder if it has anything to do with suspension, etc. Has anyone else heard this noise and is it normal with these cars. I have a 2005 X5 4.8is since last June. THANKS!

Do you have the heater or AC on?

Could be those or a multitude of other systems (fuel, etc.) decompressing. Similar to how you will hear the fuel pump run if you don't turn the car over all the way.

Cool

Thanks---I do normally have the AC on when I turn the vehicle off. I will continue to listen, but that seems very consistent with what I've observed so far.
