(i'm just a girl that loves cars ...so forgive me when asking this: what does 132's mean?) ![]() this car belongs to an X5 World member. i hope you don't mind i'm borrowing your pictures. i love your X and i hope mine resembles yours one day. the running boards: ![]() TI grill: ![]() Hood vents: (I just picked up the X5 accessory bok at my dealer and the hood vents were not in there. i'll call parts on Monday to see what they say...aslo ebay doesn't have my year...i looked)![]() clear tail lights: i don't need to say much about these...most of you have them. ![]() as far as the suspension is concerned my car should be fine with the 20's. the only thing i have to be careful with is pot holes...great, i live in philly! i didn't think about the clear turning lights behind the front wheels. i may have to look into that! thanks for the heads up! someone mentioned it will always be yellow?? what do you mean? thank you all for the welcome and congrats! it's not new but the miles are low and the car was well maintained. i'll be really happy once i make the mod's. right now it looks like a lot of the X's i see on the road. eventually i'll change the front to give it a muscular look, however, that's far away... overall look i'm after: ![]() ![]() XX3: thanks for the link! On the rims, 132 references the style number - http://www.xoutpost.com/html.php?file=e53_w.htm

"distaff side": old English term for female... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distaff 132s...wheel style, oem from BMW. I got mine from a fellow board member a month ago. They are big and wide, but beautiful. The rear wheels are "staggered", eg wider than the fronts. Those, or any style you get, should go well with your non-sport suspension. My advice is to look around at wheel styles, pics of wheels on this board, (a truckload avail.), and do some thinking and shopping, before running out to buy a replacement set of wheels and tires tomorrow! GL, Ol'UncleMotor

ty MD! you just added to my much lacking use of vocabulary. great word, btw!
and furthermore, that is a GORGEOUS X! i actually was going to get the 132's, (see i can start using the lingo too!), until i saw the 20's, (the ones i really want at a good price!). i told hubby ( he's not into cars...heck, i'm the one who goes out and picks them-- then buys them) and he was actually cool with it. considering we just bought the car last month i thought he would want me to wait on the mod's....hehe. |

Welcome aboard! You got quite a list of great mods there. You can pick up OEM Al Running Boards for around $500-$600, don't go with the aftermarket. I haven't seen any good ones. I just picked up some replica 168's at a good price.
If you really want the 4.8 look, then you will have to add the 4.8i body kit to your list. Have fun, lots of info on this site and everyone is willing to help with advice on the mods! Welcome |
