In the two pix posted by XX3, the top picture is a pre-face lift X5 (years 2000-2003) and the second picture is the face-lift X5 (years 2004-2006) in which the front end was slightly changed (different bumper, grill, plus angel eyes).

The bottom vehicle has the aluminum running boards (approx $500-$600 new) which is a popular mod.
You can buy used BMW OEM xenon headlights with clear corners for approx $400-$500, $800-$1000 new.
Used clear corner rear tail lights will run $150-$200 used, $450 new. All prices are off the top of my head - YMMV.

Also check out the group buys pages - there is a current group buy on head and fog lamp bulbs - but it's suspended because apparently the factory was overwhelmed by the order.

The extent of your mods should be based on how long you plan to keep the truck and of course, your pocketbook. You can do a few mods or you can do alot. The sky is the limit.

I forgot to mention congrats on your wheel purchase. Of course, that obligates you to post new pix when you get them mounted!

BB: When you shop for new skins to go on those new big wheels,
be prepared: B ring Money W ith you, lol!

TireRack or the like, are the place to go shopping.

You might wanna catch your breath...remodeling the front end
to make it "look" newer is not without cost and time.

But, you have the Mod Jones...

BB - I agree with you on the people here, always very helpful, I never posted on the other board because of their attitudes.

I just put on new wheels and tires this week. I have the 132s with staggered 19s. Fronts are 255s and rears are 285s. The ride is different from the 18s that came standard. Still getting used to it, I have a non sport. Ride feels bouncier now, but the grip is much better.

I never do get the links right, search for Cmynewshoes to check out my ride.

So what about DC, you in? Just a hop from Philly?

Maybe one of your door panels is loose? Try tapping on them around the edges with the butt of your hand and see if they move at all.
