I read a few other threads that show pictures of the Truffle, but I noticed that everyone said it is actually darker than it looks in the pictures. The pictures make it look only slightly darker than beige. I tried to find a dealer that has one so I could look at it, but they are very rare I guess, so no luck.

Does anyone have any pictures of the truffle that make it look like how it really looks in person? Perhaps in better lighting than the other pics I have seen?

Also, what is the best color wood for the Truffle interior? All the pics I have seen had the Dark Poplar wood -- but that seems to be what 75% of the X5's have anyway. Would the Light Poplar go well with the Truffle?

Is there anyone in the NYC suburbs (I'm in rockland county) that has truffle that wouldn't mind meeting up for a few minutes so I could see it in person? It would really be appreciated.

Beautiful choice, truffle brown is the best BMW interior IMO.

I think the darker wood looks better than the light wood.
I agree, these pics are acurate. This is the combo on our Sapphire Blk X5 and it is by far the classiest looking interior combo. The X5 has a great interior anyway, but with truffle, the two-tone on the doors really highlights the great design. The lighter wood does not have the richness of the Truffle. I think it would stick out, looking way too bright compared to the softer brown of the truffle.

Don't think so, truffle is the best color option IMO. Maybe cinnamon will be available MY07, or something similar b/c its very nice.

WOW, now I'm really excited to get my new X. I ordered white/truffle with the darker wood. Also got the sport pkg so the headliner is black. Cant wait now.

An X5World member was nice enough to let me come look at his car last night. He has the truffle interior with Anthracite wood, and the combination was just perfect. I didn't think the Anthracite would go with Truffle, but it matches perfectly. The darkest parts of the Anthracite are of course black which matches the black interior, and the lightest parts of the Athracite wood are a brown which is very close to the Truffle Brown color. So the Anthracite really blends well with the black interior and the Truffle seats. I placed my order this morning.
