Thanks everyone.

WOOD56, Pumbaa, Uptempo115: I bought the wheels from a member and they came with the rubber. He gave me a fair price IMO. I'm not looking forward to forking $$$ out for new Diamaris later down the road.

wuzin: The wheels were originally ordered with a custom center bore to fit BMW center caps so HRE's won't fit because they're smaller. I would rather have HRE center caps.

powers1: The pre-R series HRE's have a stepped lip so they do tend to look smaller in diameter. The R series do look their size.

mb23, asawadude: I'd like to drop it some time in the future. I'm worried about the ride quality since my wife drives it mostly and she hauls the little ones around.

asawadude: I'll take a lip shot later and post. Crappy weather today - it snowed.

I do want HRE center caps but I didn't have the choice. The center bore was custom made to fit BMW center caps which are larger. I'd have to get some sort of adapter ring made to put on HRE center caps.

Ray - Thanks for the second set of pix! As much as I like the various OEM styles, I need to find a set of wheels that have a nice meaty lip comparable to your HRE's. Still shopping, haven't found anything I like yet within budget.

Lowering the X5 does make easier for the wifey/CEO and the kids to climb in and out of it. Will that argument fly?
