adaptation

You need to tell theme that you have your AFE intake so they will program your ECU according to your MODS,reflash is $50.

if i send them my ECU, how will their "flash"
compensate for my intake? also, in the event
one's X would need to go to the dealer and they
happen to perform their own "flash," what's the
cost to have it "re-flashed" by Powerchip?
Brian,

As per Powerchip you can do the programming yourself once they send you the serial cable interface. And as Andaya stated you'll have to tell them all the performance mods that you have on your X5 and they'll tailor the program to maximize your HP/TQ gains.

Get a Conforti Shark Injector. It's cheaper (around $350 shipped), dyno proven, and many people have had great experiences with it in the E46. It increases HP, TQ, redline, and removes the govener.

i've yet to see a Conforti Shark Injector
for the 4.6is'. actually, i think i've only
seen the Conforti's for the 3.0's, nothing
else.

Yep, sorry for the confusion, I was talking to my fellow 3.0i'ers.

Anyway, they're providing us X5World members a $100 discount, to avail the discount please contact Matt Boooker - 1-800-495-0777 and mention that you're an xoutpost.com member and he'll gladly give you the discount.

Cool - thanks for setting this up, Eugene.
Do you know if this chip removes the top speed limiter? (That is, if the X5 Sport even has one... I've heard that it doesn't)

Have you one fitted?

Whats it like? Did you do it yourself?

I heard that they could not change the transmission software on the rev setting changes etc, is that true?

Thats unlike the superchip, Isn't it?

In addition to the V8's it also does not work on the 3.0i engine after 2003, they only show compatibility up to 2003.

Be interested to know how you got on with it on your X.
