I think that the main difference for me in making the decision to lease or buy boils down to just a few things. One the mileage...I LOVE TO DRIVE. I can't be limited to the miles I drive and when I checked into leasing I found the payment about evened out when I needed the higher mileage. Another thing to consider is that you auto insurance may tend to be higher because they require higher limits because you don't own the car you are essentially borrowing it. Another thing is modifications...I don't know if it is still the same but they don't like you modifying a leased car because you don't own it.

I have been bouncing around the idea of leasing versus buying and for myself I didn't see the benefit to leasing either a new or used X5. Hope this helps.
