It can be a DIY

Installing the headrests is pretty easy. I've temporarily located the controller under the drivers seat and it's pretty easy to run the wiring from there. At the moment I'm using a cigarette lighter adapter for power - but only because this is part of a larger video integration project (I'll be installing a 3rd DVD player and NAV video) and I don't want to hardwire anything until I have all the components. If I was just doing the Invision system it would be a pretty straightforward DIY. Since my overall project is a bit more involved, I'm going to have the final install done professionally.

I paid $1795 +tx. This was the price quoted by the BMW dealer who shipped it to me. I have no idea what their markup is so you might be able to get a better deal elsewhere - however, this is roughly HALF the installed price of the OEM system, so I'm pretty happy with the deal I got.

Another satisfied customer!

Frank you got a great deal and I hope I can see some pictures of the finished product when you get everything else installed in your vehicle.

Have a great weekend!

Invision Head Rest

I have purchased Invision Headrest Revelution II. I love it. How ever one headrest will not play DVD movie. You can hear it but no picture. Head Rest DVD is the problem.

Do you know if DVD unit is the problem?

Also how can I purchase the TV tuner? It did not come with tuner?

I would be happy to hear any suggestions. They look great.
Since I have not bought from Dealer Invision might not talk to me.

You can hear sound but no picture? Is the DVD in that unit or is it in the other unit and the signal being "slaved" to the other unit? If that's the case, make sure the second unit is on the right input to accept the signal from the primary DVD player.

If the DVD is in the unit where the screen is not working...can you get anything to show up on the screen...including the onscreen menu text when adjusting contrast, etc. (to rule out a screen failure)?
