My 2002 4.4i had one and it was replaced under warranty by the dealer.

maybe your X5 is going thru puperty....and the pimple will go away on it own!
I wouldn't "inject" it...would only make it worse.....I tried stuff like that before and always screwed it up! Maybe there is a way reach it from under the dash? And maybe it is a BMW issue and they will fix it for free.....which I doubt! |

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I had the same problem on my 2002 that appeared 6 mo. after I bought it. The bubble appeared on the rectangular air bag cover on the passenger side. What is happening is that the air bag cover "skin" is delaminating. The only fix is to replace it. It's covered under warranty, assuming you are lucky enough to still be covered.

I see that your from San Jose. See John Bascom at Bascom upholstery (408-727-2292) if your not under warranty. If it can be fixed, John can do it. Good luck
