ESS4.6is is on a distinguished road
I've looked at the 4.8is, it really didn't change that much from the 4.6 in my opinon. I do enjoy the x5 a lot but the lure of that 500+ stock bhp in a cayenne is quite tempting. I have looked at the American competitors such as the SRT-8 and the Trailblazer SS. I am impressed with their raw power and their good performance, but I really enjoy the fit and finish of the Porsche, Benz and BMW in a performance SUV. I know the Turbo S is pricey, but considering the cost that I put in to buying the new 4.6, the ESS package and all the customization, I think I have hit a cayenne Turbo in price already. Another question for you all, how much is a 2003 X5 4.6is with 60000 km, every option, ESS kit making 10.5psi worth?

i would call no less than $45,000 (US bucks) unless you have any liens on the title, then i would try to pay it off of course, and part the charger kit.
have you considered parting it?

...me i would never sell my X...can't part with it.

i honestly thought the thread would be long gone by now, and you would keep it....surprised its up to 4 pages...BMW = drivers car = more bang for your buck, and your still in a bimmer. a cayenne turbo s is appx 150,000 after taxes fees packages etc....doesnt hold resale value...i know this because before i bought my x i was going to buy a used cayenne for 50 grand...and not too many people are so enthusiastic about it. when those cars give problems...its a problem...not for you while its under warranty,....but if u were to privately sell it out of warranty, no one would look at it...and no one would give you top dollar trade in...no dealer does. your in good hands with your ess 4.6...still the only suv i would prefer over my x5...but...still not. so why not save $70,000 and upgrade your x if you want?
in a nut shell...i would only take it if my life depended on it.

The ESS kit will make no difference to price of 4.6 in fact i think it will put most people off you would be better taking it off and selling. your 4.6 with 60k is worth the same as any 4.6 with 60k the money we put into our cars does not increase the resale price.

Lose some $$$ and get an SC'ed RRS. Dont think Ive heard any disagreement about the fact that its an absolutely beautiful machine...Sometimes I go into denial and say such things, but quickly join the ranks of reality...The only problem is there still isnt a "trend" in product quality yet, but I think the days of the LR's (Discovery) dying at 40,000 miles is in the past...

I know, I know...I wish it was already out for a few years...With warranty's and such, Im not too bothered about it...To be honest, theres one word that will keep me faithful to the X, and that is PANORAMA...I would DIE without that thing....
