Cool K&N Replacment Filter?

Does anybody know if this filter give any extra Horse ??? And is it good for the car?? Thanks...

The claimed power gain is insignificant in a vehicle weighing this much. The K&N filter lets more air (and dirt) into the engine...so you decide whether it's worth the risk for the negligible gain in power.

Read my previous posts on the nightmare of fitting a K&N filter to a 3.0d X5. The BMW techs said that the oil on the filter can actually damage one of the sensors in the engine - which costs a small fortune to replace.

I kept the filter for 1 day, noticed no difference in power. After reading various articles and posts on the subject I decided to go back to the dealer and have the OEM filter put in.

A much better option. After all, if BMW thought that there was any benefit of the K&N filter, they would re-design the OEM one to match it!!
