I've had my '02 3.0i up to 123-125 and it was solid.....felt like it was floating.
With my Dinan Stage 1 Engine Software, it takes off the speed limiter.......

Mine is very quick accelerating to 125 mph(121 Gps) on a straight road ,but then it takes its time to get to 135(131 Gps) !However ,not bad for a 3.0 Diesel on 20" wheels and "only" 260 bhp!

MRKBBD is correct...

My 06 X5 4.4
Sports Package
19" alloy Wheels
Unlimited Top Speed (0840)

Read from a friend who printing out my VHR report at the dealer.

weird though it shows (2) sport Packages listed..
Codes: 0330 and 0ZSP might be the Sports Wheel.

I might have a friend who can confirm his 2005 4.4 non-sport is limited to exactly 128. Of course, I could never consider or condone such behavior.

I think my speedo is pretty close to accurate. I always check for accuracy when driving by those highway "this is your speed" signs and my speedo always indicates the speed shown (maybe off by 1 mph + -)

Are you guys sure about that? The BMW product brochure has both all X5"s with the exception of 4.8Is limited at 128mph.
