Um, because I floor the peddle and know what 7.5sec feels like By then I know I'm doing more than 60mph I haven't had the chance to drive it too much since I got her but I'll be taken her down to ATL motor speedway in the weeks to come. I'll report back official results of the 01 0-60 times

You're trying to say that you "feel" the difference between 7 seconds and 7.5 seconds
Two of us on this thread have said that our post 04 4.4 X5's beat the pre 04 models.
Looks like you'll have to find yourself a post 04 4.4 to race to find out the truth about which is faster

A dinan performance chip will help all the valvetronic models out a great deal. The throttle response with a dinan chip is comparable to an M car. Then the pre 04 4.4 wouldn't stand a chance.

Guess I can't be sarcastic up N here with the post 04 4.4i guys Taken offense ehh? J/K. Anyhow, I'm not saying the 01's are any faster than the 04's but com'on you and I both know what 7.5 sec's feels like. Who needs a stop watch to tell em that? I haven't gotten official times/results yet but in the weeks to come hopefully I will. But on the real, I could give a rats ass on the 0-60 times the 4.4i X5 is doing. It feels, and looks fast therefore I'm content with all that. Nuf said

as far as my G tech pro is concerned. the best time i ever ran 0to60 in my 2004 4.4 was 6.779 so i will call it 6.8sec. Which is about right. The g tech is very accurate to the tenth i verified this at the track against my time slips. It was off a tenth at the most. and no one knows what 7.5 sec quarter mile feels like. If you did 2 runs and on was 7sec and the other was 7.5 i dought you would even feel it
