How To remove cup holder area???

The tabs that usually hold the drinks in all got pushed in... I'm wondering how to get underneath it to put them back in place... TIA

The same thing happened to me. I took the car back to the dealer who fixed it under warranty (no charge). They ordered in a new cupholder assembly.

However - they said it was a big job. Apparently the whole centre console had to be removed. They had the car for most of the day.

I thought this was another of your trick questions.. Haven't asked any recently, what's up with that?

You have to remove the center console because the cupholder section is attached with screws from underneath. It's a PITA. Once the console is off it's easy to get to cupholder out though.

Hey Benathon, I have a tip that will work if the missing tabs are on the driver side of the cup holder. You don't have to remove the center console. All you have to do it remove the e-brake boot. Just grab the short end of the boot with your finger tips and it will pop right out. You can easily access the driver side cup holder taps. I was so happy when I found that the boot can be removed without remove the whole console. Hope this helps, Rob

Thanks for the tip; I will try it in a little bit and post back. I'm really tired of going to the dealership. They know me by my first name...
