Welcome to the board! Did you previously have an FX35 or FX45? I'd be interested in a more detailed comparo from someone who's own both the FX and X5.

b-line here owned FX45 before he bought 4.8. What he told was that he hated the FX and moved to X5 just after few months of FX ownership. If you search the forum you will see his comments.

Thanks Sunil, I just reread his posts. Not much detail except for stating that the FX45 was reliable but boring.

I'd pretty much echo his comments. It was reliable, but not overly exhilarating. Kind of left me with a "eh" feeling.

- Seats VERY uncomfortable (supposedly fixed with the 2006)
- Seat controls on the seat (where your leg goes)
- Harsh ride (factory 20's)
- Terrible NAV (worse than X5)
- No Bluetooth (added in 2006)
- No real towing ability (you can, but wouldn't want to)
- Stupid stuff, like no dipping of the mirror in reverse
- XM Radio only displayed 8 spaces for now playing
- MPG averaged 14-16
- No MP3 or iPod integration (MP3 available in 2006)

Pro's
- Handling was good
- Rear camera was cool
- Keyless entry/start was nice
