Did I get screwed?

Just payed $214 for an oil change, replacement of micro filter etc at dealer. I think I got taken screwed? What does everyone pay? My airbag light turned on right after they changed my window regulator for the fifth time. They told me it would cost $270 to fix it. I refused! It only needed to be cleaned because of some corosion on the tips. What a waste of money. Oh, they also forgot to reset my oil change lights on the dash.

Depends on what the "etc" was. Sounds high if the "etc" wasn't even worth mentioning. You can reset the oil change indicator yourself.

i dont get why people go to the dealer for an oil change. I get it changed at tires plus for $40, and changing out the micro filter takes about 10 seconds.

What kind of oil and filter do you get at Tires Plus?

I just get the full syn and who knows what kind of oil filter i get. Been doing at my local tires plus for 46,000 miles on the x5 and have never had a problem. Very nice to deal with, quick, clean and cheap.

Krunk Man -
$40 for a syn oil change and filter......

Don't get me wrong, but I think it's important that people know what oil goes into their car and for $40 , I can't see 8 quarts of syn /filter and labor.

Or the most important question of them all, does it meet BMW LL - HTHS specs

Not all full synthetics and oil filters are the same. I'd ask for specifics on the oil and filter.
