Cheesy

Driving home from work yesterday and snapped this pic on my cell phone of an X3 with a lot of "accessories", to say the least. I had no idea there was an M version of the X3

That's not as bad as the 1978 320i I saw last year in Philly with an M/// badge...maybe he pulled the engine from an M1? :-)

I believe the 2006 X3 with the Sport Package has the M badge.

The 2006 X3 2.5 sport package doesn't, but the 3.0 with the M-sport package has lots of M badges; steering wheel, door sills, wheels. It doesn't have the badge on the hatch like this one.

BMW doesn't offer the 2.5 for 2006. In the US.

i've seen a few with the M badge. never gave it a second thought until now. i think it's kinda cool. why call it 'cheesy', what's funny about it? the M badge is all over the inside of some, so why not the outside too?

The M badge by itself isn't cheesy at all since BMW is using it these days to spruce up some of its sportier model. So, a ///M badge doesn't necessarily mean that it's an ///M model these days unless the series model is attached behind it ala M3, M5, M6. So, unless the guy made in such a way that it reads ///MX3 or ///MX5, then I don't see any reason why we should call him a "poser".
