Just to let you guys know.

I took a roof rail off this PM to have a look as said there were five holes each side. two on front and rear fixing and one smaller on the middle fixing.

They were all Circular drilled holes front and rear fixing - two holes were 18mm dia and the smaller centre fixing hole was 16mm.

kind of a "ghetto" mod. But if for a day or two u cant find the right plugs. You can rip off those little rubber pieces of the rubber thing that covers the torx bolt when the roof rails are attached. They fit the hole almost excactly.

Yes yes i know you people might think, why would u do that since u might reuse the roof rails.. well thats why its a "ghetto" mod I ripped one of mine off on accident and then tried it, and it fit in the holes perfectly. It sits "pretty" flush i guess hah

I still haven't seen anyone's close up photo of the plugged holes. I can't imagine it looking very good (except from a distance), on a $$$ car like the X5.

If you hang till the weekend I have bought some plugholes today and ordered some various different types on the internet which should be here tomorrow, I have some OEM paint and lacquer and I am (all being well) going paint them over the next few days and fit them on Saturday. I will post some pics then.

Then once fitted I can decide if I will do the job properly by filling the holes etc.

If your head does explode can I have your X?

In my opinion really looks crap, if your gonna do it. Have them filled and sprayed properly it just dont work especially on mine, its lowered. The front two holes are right in your face looks cheap.
