just finished this mod too. We dont have lowe's in canada, so i checked out home depot/canadian tire/walmart and finally found a rona that had some hole plugs, but only had 5x11/16 and only 1x5/8, so after i drove to every rona in calgary, and with my luck not a single store had them in stock. So wanting to do this mod so badly, i search for other ideas, and actually came out with a better idea. I went to canadian tire bought 8x11/16 thin rubber washers, after i went to this store called Gregg's where they sold rubber grommets with the centre's filled, which was perfect. So i got 10x3/4 rubber grommets, the 3/4 fit nice and tight for the 5/8, but loose for the 11/16 hole, so i placed the thin rubber washers into the grommet's, and it fit perfectly nice and tight. I was worried about water getting into the holes, but with these grommets i have no worries. Heres a quick shot i took on my phone this morning after the mod, i'll take some more tomorrow with close ups.

mini van??? what da?? i love the look without the roof rack. I always liked how the cayenne's / rdx and the srt-8's had no roof racks, gives it a more sporty/lux look. C'mon i know you wanna!!

That's why there was the whole IMO thing.

I just removed the rails on my 2003 3.0i X... and I don't know about others, but when i bought the 11/16 stops to put in the holes they were way too big... for my car the bigger wholes were 2 sizes down from 11/16.. and the 2 smaller holes one size 3 sizes down from 11/16..
...now i got 10 extra plugs... anyone got some wholes to fill??

Can someone who has done this post some close-up photos of their roof with the grommets (or plus or whatever) shown? I love to see the final product.

Thinking about doing this to mine.

Thanks in advance!
