X5 vs Jap car crash.

Look what confronted me as I returned to me car. A driver of a medium sized Toyota rear ended my X as it was parked on the side of the road. I was just standing behind the car sorting out some gear not long before this happened. The driver drove straight into my X while looking backwards at the kids in the back seat of the Toyota. The only positive that came from this stupid and avoidable crash (other than me not standing behind the car) was how well the X looked compared to the other car, which looks like a write-off.

Safe driving everyone.

Wow! Too bad, but the X took it well. Glad you were not hurt!

That picture discribes a thousand words. German engineering and a 2,000 pound advantage tip the scales dramatically. Glad no one got hurt.

In the words of Rodney Dangerfield in Caddy Shack:

"You scratched my anchor!!"

Glad no one was hurt.

If that had happened in my city, 10 people would have immediately jumped out of the Toyota and booked down the street!

Thumbs up

Hey that looks like the rear ender I had last week! A FIAT Stilo hit me while I was at a stand-still at an intersection, I still haven't got m X fixed yet but it looks like only the bumper needs to be changed. The Fiat's airbag opened, both headlights completely gone, hood trashed, grille and radiator gone too. No injuries to anyone, but I'm glad I was in the X and not the Fiat!!!

That's crazy! Always knew a large tank was safer but not that much. Shame about the bodywork still.

Looks almost identical to a rear-ender I was in earlier this year. Guy in a GMC Jimmy hit me. Most of the damage was done to my bumper and the lower valence around the exhaust tips, but since he was also in an SUV which is higher than that Toyo, he dented the lower panel of the rear tailgate. It was actually a pretty inexpensive repair in the end (although I wasn't paying for it anyways).

You should have seen his front end....
