The ARBs that the OP posted were from Ebay seller bavarian_motorwerks.
I been in touch with them via email ,sometime ago but unfortunately they said they had discontinued(never gave a reason!)that type of ARBs!

Personally,I think the type they had (same as OP),is a the best alternative to OEM.
Maybe if theres enough interest from members here,we can get them to supply them again

Now ,they only sell and list on Ebay, the same hoorible ones, that others do

There is this on eBay - don't know the seller - $299 + free ship:

E53 X5 Aluminum BRUSHED SIDE STEPS RUNNING BOARDS BMW - eBay (item 120697880440 end time Apr-13-11 08:08:39 PDT)

I had the ones from Bav Motorwerks on my 2001 X5 and I thought they looked great, nice X5 logo etching - plus my plastic running boards it covered were so junked up it was an easy way to cover them for not a lot of dough. The person that has bought this car (I know them personally) still likes them and they look great.

However, the rubber dots kept coming off the boards and I couldn't get replacements for it.

Now that I have OEM I really see the difference; mostly from how they are attached versus the replicas. Once you install these replicas you will probably never want to take them off again after you see all the drilling and attachment screws required.

My .02 cents...

The ones in the link your posted look far better than the ones Bavarian_motorwerks sell now....Shame they stopped selling the others.
