I'm referring to the one EZDozzit got it from who started this thread. He got it off of ebay as well but they are local to SoCal and I have called a few times to check.

Like i said, ted from the company said that he will join the X5world forum and post here as well when it comes in a week or two.

EZDozzit, can you take some additional shots of the mounting holes etc. I just want to see how it is actually mounted on your truck if possible.

I am curious to see the bolts on the side...

Also, what is a tinsel? Can you take a picture of that?

Thanks

Curtis

See extreme closeup below. I used self-tapping screws for the 3 holes on the side and plastic push rivets for the 5 holes on top. Note the rivet heads are the same size as the rubber grips on the boards. I used a nail-setter to punch holes straight down through the X5 plastic running boards. You can also use a small screwdriver I guess.

That is what I needed.

I am assuming it is sturdy and held in place fairly well. Was there a guide to line everything up so that the boards are in the same place on both sides?

Thanks.

Curtis

It's very sturdy and I check it periodically. No guide line. I just positioned the boards on top of the factory ones and matched both sides. By the way, I don't have a part number for the self tapping screws I used on the side. But here's a link to the plastic rivets and part no, which you can find at most auto parts.

Hey check these out.

Less expensive than the replicas I got and look more OEM when installed.

I like yours.

I was going to go and buy the real deal until I saw yours.

Now I am waiting for them to be available
