Technical Service Bulletins... Customer Pays?
I do not want to be unreasonable, but if enough cars have a problem to issue a TSB should'nt it be a factory expense? Anyone know where I can buy part number 35 40 6 762 480 Accelerator pedal for: E53 vehicles with automatic transmissions at a reasonable price? |

I think you are confusing a TSB with a recall. A TSB is just a recommended repair for something that they are aware could be a problem. If it were a major safety issue, then they would have to issue a recall which would be on their bill.

It did not hurt to ask my dealer and I was not upset when he told me the situation. He was nice about it- I was too. Now, does anyone know whats inside the box that causes the friction? Can I fix it, or do I need the part? ($98 at the dealer- in stock). |
