I have an '06 4.4 that has the TB, CAI and exhaust installed on it. It seems to have some more pep, but I haven't confirmed that on paper or with a stopwatch. It also seems to have more low end torque where it will muscle through certain RPM ranges rather than downshift.

I got the exhaust and cai know. But the TB is next. I think i will get it when the new software comes out and do it together

Estimates for the s/w (as well as the air mass meter) really depend on who you talk to at Dinan... but from what I gather, they're prioritizing developments for the new 5- & 6-series (and their M derivatives), as well as the new 3-series - for which there's considerably more demand.

I'm guessing it just won't happen for our X's, ever. Not enough demand compared with other models. They've been saying it's coming soon for almost 3 years now... Sure is a bummer, but I can certainly understand their priorities. I'd love for Dinan to prove me wrong...
