No date on Nav screen. Help!
Last night when I first got in my x5(2001, 3.0), I noticed the button to open the doors doesn't work anymore. I turned the car off and restart it and the button works again. However, the date information on my Nav screen now shows "--/--/2006". I tried to re-enter the date but the computer just doesn't take it. Does anybody know how to fix this? Or a trip to the dealer is unavoidable. ![]() Thanks in advance... CCY |

Check first to see if your putting the date in right. Some Nav screen work as day-month year, some are month-day-year. This can all be changed on the screen no problem. As for your button not working, your key charges itself in the ignition so maybe it just need a good charging.

you may have to first enter the time before the date will accept.

Mine is month-day-year and I knew it was right because it won't let me scroll pass 12 for the month. CCY |

Go to the fuse section on the owners manual as there are a few that control the locking. Just a thought!! Fuses are located in the glove box and luggage compartment on the left. Check to see if you see anything blown.

Hi,
It turns out that I indeed need to enter the Time first before the system will accept the Date. This acutally makes sense. Thanks for all the help. CCY |
