Who here has installed the headrest DVD system?

I am looking to purchase the 2 headrest DVD setup that just became available to tame my 3 yr old. Anyone out there that has this installed? What are your opinions on it?
Also, if someone has the older single screen center headliner system, would you care to share your opinions? Is it hard to see the overhead system?
All opinions are greatly appreciated.
TIA.
Raj

Sorry - can't help you with experience as I haven't installed the system you speak of, but I'm also interested in knowing more about it. What is this setup that "just became available"? Is it from BMW? Do you have a link? TIA!

I have the two screens in the headrest. It works well. Ive seen the OEM over-head set-up in person. Its not that great. Personally, I think there are better systems than any of the OEM DVD ones. Check with your local Car AV store and also look in the articles section for some nice set-ups. I believe there are a couple of articles on the OEM options as well.

So your name is Raj huh? What part of India are you from?

After looking at the BMW system again, it actually looks like a solid system. Im not sur ehow much it costs and where the DVD player goes. The monitors themselves look outstanding. Personally, I have y DVD player where the rear cup-holders would be. Its a perfect fit.

I dont see why it would only work in the X3.

The headrest system was something that was released this month. Its 7inch LCD monitors in both headrests compared to teh overhead which has only one 6.75 lcd screen, wireless headsets for both rear passengers and a bunch of other components. I think the DVD player goes in the armrest cubby. I will post some part numbers and maybe someone can look it up. I think its close to $2.2k in parts alone. I was very excited to see it and it looks very nice in pictures.
There is a local dealer so is running 25% off accessories as a special for this month so I might just make the move. Labor though is 4 hrs at $112/hr, ouch!!!
I am from NJ btw.
If I get it soon, I will post pictures and a write-up to help others on the forum.

Thanks for the info and look forward to the writeup.
I skipped out on the comfort seats so I could do this more easily.
